The smartboard allows the teacher to create linked pages to work that is differentiated by level, learning style or entry level of the learner.
What are the different ways the smartboard can be used as an
Instructional Tool?
as an "interactive" whiteboard
writing on it
click on the response you think is correct (Linking pages)
buttons to open another page. (Linking pages) Look for the pages with the chain and the word link icon at the top of the page
revealing hidden text
The file has pages with Hide and Erase pages. Look for the eraser icon to see how I used this feature
like a manipulative
moving objects
sorting categorizing
pull tabs The file has some pull tabs that have additional information that is not needed when the page is first opened.
as a viewing surface
The camera can be used to capture images from a video or Internet page or other.... to be used for review
as a demonstration computer before going to the lab
The same file can be loaded on the network or attached to a file on the Internet that students can then use later at home or in the lab

Text can be highlighted
The text can be recorded and students listen to the text as they read it ( To record sound go to Start- Accessories- Entertainment- Record sound)
